Unfortunately, permission to display the stories has not been granted, as indicated by the following letter from J.D. Salinger's literary representative. The only positive outcome is the knowledge that is soon to be published. Once again, my apologies to those who were hoping to read Salinger's 22 stories here.

Dear Mr. Daly,
Thank you for your email of May 2 and for promptly removing the text of the 22
Stories and Hapworth 16, 1924 by J.D. Salinger from your site. I'm afraid it
isn't possible to grant you permission to publish the stories on your website.
Mr. Salinger feels very strongly about not wanting the stories to be made
available to readers. Hapworth 16, 1924 will in due course be published in
book form.
Sincerely,
J.D. Salinger's literary representative
